Quantumly.

Technology assurance consultancy

A technology leader in the room, not a report on the shelf.

Quantumly puts an experienced CTO, CIO or CISO inside your business part-time and fully accountable, reporting to your board for strategy, security, risk and delivery.

Progress in steps you can point at

We do not slot in. We step up.

Specialists in technology strategy, cyber and information security, implementation, staffing and programme management. Every engagement is shaped around your objectives, and all of them rest on the same principle: we lead from within.

Your fractional CIO, CTO or CISO is embedded in the business, sits in your leadership meetings, reports to the board and owns the outcome. It is not consultancy, it is not interim cover, and it is not advice delivered from a distance.

What fractional IT leadership actually means

The full spectrum of fractional IT leadership

Four areas, tailored to whichever of them is hurting most.

Strategy and direction

A roadmap tied to the numbers

Strategic direction set and then led hands-on by an executive embedded in your business. Costed, sequenced and written so a board can approve it and hold us to it.

Security and risk

Frameworks that hold up to scrutiny

We define and implement the controls your business needs to stay resilient, secure and compliant, across cyber, data and operational risk, and we answer for them when clients and insurers ask.

Suppliers and teams

Accountability in both directions

We lead internal and external teams as if they were our own, holding partners, vendors and delivery teams to account for performance and outcomes rather than activity.

Change programmes

Programmes that finish

Platform migrations, infrastructure consolidation, security uplift and digital service transformation, owned end to end by someone whose job is the result.

When businesses call us

Rarely because they want more technology. Usually because the present arrangement has become expensive to live with.

  • 01The person who understood how everything fitted together has left, and nobody has picked it up.
  • 02Technology spend keeps rising and no one can explain, at board level, what it buys.
  • 03Clients, regulators and insurers are asking security questions the business cannot answer with confidence.
  • 04A change programme has stalled and the supplier and the internal team each blame the other.
  • 05Growth, funding or a transaction is coming, and technology is the part of the plan nobody has costed.

How an engagement works

Three stages. You can stop after the second and keep everything we have produced.

Stage 01

Assessment

A structured review of what you run, what it costs, where the risk sits and what your plans demand of it. Two to three weeks, fixed fee.

Stage 02

Plan

A prioritised roadmap with costs, sequencing and the decisions that need making, written for a board rather than for a technology audience.

Stage 03

Embedded leadership

We take the role on. One to three days a week, in your meetings, reporting to your board, accountable for the plan we wrote.

Scale with confidence, without the cost of a full-time executive

A permanent CIO or CISO is a six-figure commitment before bonuses, benefits and the months spent recruiting. Most growing businesses do not need that much resource. They do need someone who can set direction, take ownership and make the risk decisions.
